Superb answer from Charles Olney as always. Watch Mickeal Barzalona, a new young jockey to this country riding for Godolphin, I don`t think you`ll go far wrong betting on that combination.

The current top National Hunt jockey is A P McCoy who has been top jockey for the last 15 years. This season he rode over 212 winners with a 24% win rate. He accumulated over £1,800,000 in prize money. However Daryl Jacob is a jockey very much on the upgrade riding 54 winners this season along. Others that catch the eye are Sam Twiston-Davies mostly riding for his father and has riden about 60 winners this season and he's only 18 years old. Paul Moloney has also had a good season not to forget Grand National winning jockey Jason Maguire who has had his best season to date.

The best trainers over the jumps in the land remains Paul Nicholls having ammassed nearly £2,500,000 in prize money and 132 winners. However Nicky Henderson has also ammassed over £2,000,000 in prize money but has had nearly 150 winners with a 25% win rate. Donald McCain has nearly reached his 100 winners for the season along with Nigel Twiston-Davies and Peter Bowen looks on the upgrade with a 16% win rate for the season.

On the flat Paul Hanagan looks as good as ever stretching nearly 10 winners clear allready but Ryan Moore continues to show himself as a top jockey with good wins. Jamie Spencer has also had a good start to the season having a double yesterday and I am continuelly impressed with Silvestre de Sousa's rides. Philip Makin has got 9 for the season allready along with inform Adam Kirby. Richard Hughes and Fallon are still at the head of affairs but Mickael Barzalona is an exceptional jockey who has a 80% win rate so far in the UK. But Tom Queally catches the eye with some exceptional rides recently and a treble at Newbury on Saturday. He also has a 100% win rate when riding for James Given so far this season.

The top flat trainers are dominating as ever with Richard Hannon and Richard Fahey heading affairs. Mark Johnston can't seem to go two days without a winner but he has got a million odd horses in training. In form trainer James Given has been showing good horses along with Brian Smart. Alan McCabe did well over the winter but can't seem to progress onto the turf season. John Gosden has some good horses but a not so good win rate. However, David Barron and Dandy Nicholls are the top two in form at the moment.
