There was a horse in the early 90's in the UK called Mary Hinge - the old swop the letters trick. Obviously those outside the UK will not know the slang word this applies too, and it's too rude for me to explain!



There was a horse in France in 2003 which had a very naughty name, the French authorities obviously were not up on their English and they let the name pass.

Norfolk Enchants was running around England sometime ago.

My girlfriend once rubbed a filly named apspiv. The owners told her that the jockey club at first refused the name because they thought it might have a dirty meaning. Once everything was explained they allowed the name it was the owners and his girlfriends initials.
